Recent updates to the National Archives of Ireland include removal on the old Genealogy Sub-site collection which included Tithe Applotment Books, Valuation Office Books, Calendars of wills, Marriage License Bonds Indexes etc. these collection are (hopefully) being redeveloped and will be included on updated format in the update system along with the 1926 census and revised 1911, 1901 and 19th Century census fragments.
Due to these changes links to the census transcripts and images no longer work correctly on this and some other systems, so several pages may not work correctly – including :
1. The Census Location search (Browse Tools) still functions, but the links currently no long work. The search may still be useful for searching for street or townland names on the 1901 & 1911 census.
2. Several Blog (i.e. WordPress) articles on this site use census links which will no longer work – e.g. ‘Alterations to County Borders – 1898‘, the URL (links) show the relevant townland or DED which may be useful… work is under way to repair these links.
