| 1-May-1925 | | Royal Dublin Society's offices removed from Leinster House to premises at Ballsbridge. During the year many of the principal streets were relaid with asphalte, concrete and wood blocks in place of stone setts. The Tramway Company and several private companies started services of Motor Buses between the city and- outlying districts, and Taxi Cars were licensed to ply for hire in the city. There were many strikes, which handicapped trade and industry, the most serious of which took place in the coal trade. | |
